Pursuing Peace on the Korean Peninsula

  • Session: Session 2
  • Date/Time: November 14, 2013 / 14:00-15:50

Panel Description

The Park Geun-hye administration’s “trustpolitik” has sought principled but constructive engagement with Pyongyang. As talks on family reunions and the Kaesong Industrial Complex continue, issues still remain. Despite the international community’s best efforts, North Korea has been slow to move towards a more peaceful path. The role of neighbors such as the US, China, Japan, and Russia is crucial to making progress on resuming a productive dialogue. With talks at a standstill, how can we pursue peace on the Korean Peninsula?
