Fred Fleitz

Mr. Fred Fleitz is a Vice Chair of the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). He served as National Security Council Chief of Staff in the first Trump administration, and held national security positions for 25 years at the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Department of State, and the House Intelligence Committee staff. He has given numerous media interviews on international security issues, including on Fox News, CNN, KBS, SBS, BBC, ITN, NHK, and others. His articles have appeared in many publications, including The Wall Street Journal. He is the author or editor of eight books on international relations. His last book, An America First Approach to U.S. National Security (America First Press), was published in 2024. His forthcoming books include North Korea, Nuclear Brinkmanship, and the Oval Office (Texas A&M University Press, 2026), and a book on Iran’s nuclear program (Texas A&M University Press, 2027).
