Amb. Lim Sungnam is a Global Advisor at Bae, Kim & Lee, a leading law firm in South Korea. Prior to joining the firm, he served in numerous key positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, including First Vice Minister, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Ambassador to ASEAN. His other overseas assignments included Washington, D.C., as well as Beijing, the United Nations in New York, and Taipei. After leaving the government in December 2021, he joined Bae, Kim & Lee. He also served as a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo and as a visiting research fellow at the Sejong Institute. Amb. Lim received his B.A. and M.A. in International Relations from Seoul National University and his A.M. from the Department of Government at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Harvard University.
