Amb. Moon Seoung-hyun is a Specially Appointed Professor at Dongseo University and a former career diplomat with more than 37 years of service. He served as the Republic of Korea’s Ambassador to France, Thailand, and the Czech Republic. A seasoned expert in ROK-U.S. relations, he held several key positions, including three assignments in Washington, D.C., as well as Director-General for North American Affairs and Secretary to the President for Foreign Affairs. His expertise also encompasses inter-Korean relations, reflected in his tenure as Vice Minister of Unification. With his extensive experience across Asia and Europe, he offers a unique multi-regional perspective on the ROK-U.S. alliance. Amb. Moon holds degrees from Seoul National University and Pennsylvania State University.
