Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha is a Member of the Governing Council of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) and a former Commander-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command of India. Over his 42-year career in the Indian Navy, he gained extensive experience, including flying from aircraft carriers and commanding two fighter squadrons, a naval air station, and four warships. He later held key leadership positions as Flag Officer Commanding Goa Naval Area and Naval Aviation, Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet, and the 6th Chief of Integrated Defence Staff. Vice Admiral Sinha received his M.Sc. and M.Phil. from the University of Madras.
