On August 28, 2019, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable with Mr. Sayed Ghoneim, a retired major general and Chairman of the Institute for Global Security & Defense Affairs in United Arab Emirates. With his presentation titled, “Strategic Rivalries in the Middle East in a New Security Dynamics and the Ramifications on East Asia,” Mr. Ghoneim had an in-depth discussion with Korea’s Middle East scholars on foreign policy and regional security issues in the context of the Middle East.
