On Tuesday November 11, Dr. Peter K. Lee from the Center for Regional Studies delivered a lecture to a visiting student delegation from the University of Sydney. The delegation was visiting Korea and Japan as part of the United States Studies Centre's "Study tour: US Space, Science and Technology Policy in the Indo-Pacific." Dr. Lee provided an introduction to the Asan Institute, South Korea's post-war economic development, and contemporary security challenges facing the Korean Peninsula. During a Q&A session, Dr. Lee and the delegation discussed the challenges and opportunities for South Korea, the United States, Australia and Japan to cooperate on science and technology issues, build industrial resilience, and sovereign capabilities.
