The bilateral relationship between the Republic of Korea and the United States is rooted in the 1882 Treaty of Peace, Amity, Commerce and Navigation. This year marks the 140th anniversary of this treaty. The Bilateral ties have endured and remained strong despite, or perhaps because of, common challenges that the two countries have faced. What were some memorable moments in this relationship? How has the relationship persevered through all these years and remained strong to this day?
