Ambassador Choi Byung-hyuk served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he focused his research on Middle Eastern geopolitical risks, global energy security, and regional economic development. A retired four-star General in the ROK Army, he previously held key leadership positions, including Deputy Commander of the ROK-US Combined Forces Command (CFC). Currently, as President of the Council on Korea-US Security Studies (COKUSS), he analyzes shifting U.S. security strategies amid U.S.-China strategic competition, Northeast Asian security dynamics, North Korean nuclear and missile threats. His research also extends to comprehensive security-integrating defense, diplomacy, and economics.
